Some of the U15/16 squad with Coaches.

This is the third year of the North Angus U16/15 squad. They have been entered into the Caledonia Midland Div 2 U16 league and have played one fixture so far against Glenrothes.

The boys played excellent rugby for the start of the season and proved that all their hard work at training had paid off by scoring the first two tries of the game.
Glenrothes came out on top at the end with a narrow win of 39 to 32.
The next home match for this age group is on 2nd Oct at union park (1pm) against Kirkcaldy.

They train every Tuesday from 6pm to 7.30pm at union park and new and experienced players are always welcome.

The Montrose S1/2 for season 2011/12

The first fixture of the 2011/12 season saw the S1/2 side (along with the P4/5 and P6/7 ) head to Arbroath for a cold windy match.
The S1/2 showed that they had been listening at training and they all demonstrated excellent skills for this early in the season. It was also great to see Montrose players offering to play for Arbroath, who are building up their S1/2 squad.
A big thank you to Arbroath for hosting us and a special thank you to 'Game Coach Shuggie' who ensured a fair and open contest.
A great win to start the season - well done!

The Great Leg Wax - Sun 3rd April.

On Sunday April 3rd, Alistair Grove-White, Fraser McKay, Duncan Campbell and Stewart Ross are going to get their legs waxed at Union Park!

This is to help raise funds for our new Community Coach - Fraser Mckay (2nd from the left).

From August 2011, Fraser will be employed by the SRU and Montrose Rugby for two years to help increase the number of children taking part in rugby in the Montrose area.

The club has to part-fund this and in order to help the process these 4 brave men have offered their legs!

Please use our justgiving site to sponsor them : http://www.justgiving.com/rugbylegs
